The orienteering season continued on Good Friday with the Lieldienu balva sprint orienteering competition, which after a two-year hiatus returned to its usual time - Easter. 415 orienteers were challenged by courses that led through the Rīnūži neighborhood and finished in the Ziemeļblāzma Park. For elite athletes, in addition to the individual sprint competition, there was also a special knock-out sprint, in which the Lithuanian Vilius Aleliunas and the home favorite Sandra Grosberga won.
